Would you like to help defeat mental illness and neurological disease? Want to be involved in the latest cutting edge research? At the Institute of Psychiatry (IOP) in London there are hundreds of active studies underway which rely upon the help of people just like you.
Using this site you can register your details and get involved straight away. This website is here to give you a taste of the studies you could be asked to participate in and hopefully answer any questions you might have.
The main aim of the IOP is to research treatments and cures for neurological conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Parkinson's Disease, and Alzheimer's Disease, as well as psychiatric illnesses such as Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder, Depression, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
During an average year the IOP needs about 5,000 volunteers to take part in our research studies; without you everything would grind to a halt! Everyone we've spoken to has enjoyed taking part in experiments at the IOP and most have said they would recommend it to their friends. Want to find out more?
